The traditional bed blanket is woven from 100% merino wool with a satin edge for ultimate softness and comfort. The finer fibres of the Merino sheep, mainly found in Australia and New Zealand, are softer and less coarse than other types of wool, making for a luxuriously soft and comfortable blanket. Merino wool is natural, insulating, odour-resistant and hypoallergenic. These inherent qualities make wool the natural choice for a good night’s sleep. Created by John Atkinson at the historic Hainsworth mill, woven and hand-finished in the heart of Yorkshire using skills, knowledge and craftsmanship learned over the last 235 years. These are described as England's finest blankets. The classic navy colour blends well with various interior designs which means it can be enjoyed for years. The edge is traditional satin binding.
