Probably my inexperience, as this was the first time I'd purchased a merino blanket as this was for a wedding present. I'd imagined from the online illustration that the item would be much fluffier/thicker than it was. Being merino lambswool it's very fine indeed and a certainly a high quality item, hence the price, but I'm afraid I was disappointed. Lovely to wear I'm sure, and perhaps as a bed throw, but not the snugly blanket I'd imagined from the picture unfortunately. Lovely subtle colours though.
